Program and consent
Oakland Residents for Good Government sends voter outreach, voting reminders, campaign updates, event invitations, volunteer coordination, and donation asks. By providing your mobile number and selecting the separate SMS consent checkbox, you authorize recurring SMS/MMS messages from Oakland Residents for Good Government, including messages sent using automated technology.
Consent is optional and is not a condition of donating, endorsing, volunteering, requesting a yard sign, or using the website. Providing a phone number alone does not enroll you.
Frequency and charges
Expect 1–3 outreach messages per month, with a maximum of 3 per month. Confirmation messages and replies to your requests may be additional. Message and data rates may apply, including to messages you send us. Ask your wireless provider about your plan’s charges.
Unsubscribe and get help
Reply STOP at any time to cancel. After an unsubscribe confirmation, you will receive no further program texts unless you opt in again. To rejoin, submit a new SMS opt-in through our signup form.
Reply HELP for assistance, or contact oakgoodgov@gmail.com. Please tell us if you change or relinquish the enrolled phone number.
Delivery and privacy
Wireless carriers, including T-Mobile, are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and service availability.
Our Privacy Policy explains information handling. We do not sell or share mobile information or SMS consent for third-party or affiliate marketing.
